Z-12 and Gabapentin

I have no problem falling asleep; I have a problem staying asleep, especially after 5:00 a.m. (~ 6 to 61/2 hours sleep)

I take 300 mg of gabapentin nightly for minor neuropathy. Since phenibut is gabapentinoid, is it ok to take Z-12 with gabapentin?

It looks like they’re chemically similar, so avoiding the double-up is the safest route.

You may want to show the Z-12 label to your prescriber for them to double-check, and/or send an e-mail to Biotest Customer Service (

As suggested by Mr. Colucci, I contacted Biotest Customer Service. They replied promptly saying, in part:

“No, you should NOT take Z-12 while you are using gabapentin.”
