Velocity Diet Measuring Question

I was reading Mr. Shugart’s measurement thread, because I will be starting the V-Diet once all my supplies get to my house.

But I have never measured myself before and I was trying to do so, but I am not exactly sure how ‘tight’ I am supposed to use the measuring tape. I mean its a big difference depending on how tightly I hold the tape, I can add or subtract a few inches. Is there anyway to gauge how tightly I can measure parts of my body?

Thanks

Some tape measures, like the Myotape above, are spring driven and are always consistent.

If using a standard tape, just be sure to use the same tightness every time. Consistency is key. We don’t really care what the “real” number is, only the inches lost, so as long as you’re consistent you can follow your progress easily.
