Training Period for Indigo 3G

#1

After reading around a bit on the carb intake while on Indigo, I saw that it was recommended to start with 100g in the training period. I just wanted clarification on exactly what that was. Is is simply peri-workout nutrition?

Right now (have not started Indigo), I don’t do preworkout (as in within an hour) carbs, but I have 50-80 carbs intra, then about 100g in a PWO meal about an hour after I workout.

Should I up my intra carbs? Should I hit a PWO shake immediately after to get more carbs in? Should increase PWO carbs?

I’ve read the carb guide, but didn’t notice anything very detailed on carb timing. Any suggestions are welcome.

Peri-workout nutrition, yes. And don’t get too caught up in the 100g recommendation, this can vary.

When we first learned that carb-timing could have a big impact on training results, all the science focused on post-workout. Then we learned that intra was important too. Finally, we learned that pre may be more important. That’s why <a href="http://www.t-nation.com/store/products/plazma"target=“new”>Plazma and <a href="http://www.t-nation.com/store/products/surge-workout-fuel"target=“new”>Surge Workout Fuel are both used pre and intra. In fact, post workout, according to guys like John Meadows, is important but probably the least important of the three.

This article gets into the details if you haven’t seen it yet: http://www.t-nation.com/supplements/what-you-dont-know-about-workout-supplementation

So, most Indigo-3G users use Plazma pre and during, then a quick “pulse” of Mag-10 for post-workout. Pre and intra are especially important for Indigo-3G users since Indigo further amplifies the effects and drives the nutrients deep into the muscle cells.
