Substituting Sumo DL for Romainian?

I have always been most comfortable with sumo rather than a conventional deal lift stance.

Sure, the range of motion is shorter, it’s “easier” and most people are able to pull more weight. This = “comfortable.”

I’d suggest getting out of the comfort zone. The new challenge may even lead to new muscle or strength gains.

Didn’t mean for that to sound like a lecture, but too often I see people training in a way that they’re simply used to and good at (ego gratifying), and this can lead to stagnation. Doing what’s new and uncomfortable (at first) often has the opposite effect - new progress.

So give the new style a shot.
