Stew Recipe

#1

You take:

2.2 pound chunk o’ lean ox
2-3 carrots
4-6 sticks of sellerie
1-2 onions
1 leek
Half a bottle of your worst red wine
1 can of squished tomatoes (… yeah, no idea what their called in english =))
Ox broth to taste
6 cloves of garlic
2 laurel leaves
splash of water
salt n’ pepper

Dice the onions and cut the meat into strips.

Start frying the onions (coconut oil ftw) and when their almost ready toss in the beef and brown it.

When the meat is properly browned pour in the can of tomatoes, red wine and laurel leaves. Add water as appropriate.

Turn down the heat to a simmer.

Now you just dice/slice the rest of the veggies up as to your preferred size and toss them in the pot - save the leek until the last 20 minutes though, so it don’t disintegrate completely.

Leave it to simmer 2-3 hours. Then add broth + spices to your flavour.

And you get stew! =) - Here served with half a head of cauliflower n’ buttah. Though i think i would have preferred rutab … rutub … swedish turnip mash. Ah well, that batch makes ~5 portions, so =)
