Started the V-Diet on Sunday Aug 1 and its going pretty well. So far, I’m on Day 5 I’m down 5 lb.
I’ll post my measurements and pics a bit later, but I was 6’3" 235 when I started, down to 230 today. Although I feel a little hungry at times, between meals, it hasn’t been all that bad.
As far as the workouts go, I did a Girevoy sport training session (10 min Snatch) and (10 min Clean, Jerk) on Tuesday and nailed it, so my strength is still up there. I’m a competitive armwrestler and my goal is to make the 219 weight class for a local tournament on September 5th. Assuming I get within 5 lb or so, I can drop water the night before and recharge during weigh ins. I’m hoping to average 2 lb weight loss per week until the tournament.
Also, I’m a type 1 diabetic, and because of the low carbs my insulin dose is down about 70% which is a nice additional benefit.
