Raw Brownies

These are surprisingly good and pretty easy to make.

Chop up 2 cup of dates, 2 cup of nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans, whatever you like) in a food processor and add about 1/2 cup of cocoa. The better quality of cocoa you use, the better they taste, of course.

Mix everything up until it looks like coarse crumbs and add a tbsp. or two of coconut oil if it seems really dry. Press the mixture into an 8-inch pan and chill it to firm up the brownies. That’s it, no baking or anything and they actually taste like fudgy brownies.

You can also make frosting for them by whipping avocado with some cocoa and adding the sweetener of your choice.

I love dates. Better than any candy!
