Pre and Post Workout on a Student Budget

#1

Hi all,

Which pre course supplements would you recommend that don’t cost an arm and a leg, the goal is to gain mass, though without gaining fat, as I just lost 30 lbs over the last year and don’t want to risk of getting fat again.

Which supplements would you recommend for a post workout?

Currently I am taking the same for pre.
My routine is: after I get up I drink a coffee, go to the gym, ride the bike at pule 130 for 30 mins, then take 40grams of Maltodextrose and 35g of Gold’s Standard Whey Protein plus either a banana or an oat bar, then I do my lifting workout for about 45-60 mins. Post workout I usually have an early lunch, most of the time it’s chicken/beef/tuna, rice/pasta/potatoes, and some sort of veggies.
There is a delay from the time I finish the workout and the time I eat, usually about 45 minutes in between with shower, walking home and cooking, is that too long.

Many thanks to anyone who replies. And with student budget I would say about $100-150/month is fine, but consider that supplements are at least 30% if not 50% more expensive here than in the U.S.

First, be sure to read this. Great info on what to do and not do around the workout period: http://www.t-nation.com/supplements/what-you-dont-know-about-workout-supplementation

For the budget minded, you can’t beat one serving of <a href="http://www.t-nation.com/store/products/plazma"target=“new”>Plazma pre-workout and one serving during. If budget allows, have a “pulse” of <a href="http://www.t-nation.com/store/products/mag-10"target=“new”>Mag-10 post-training.
