Power Drive and Surge Recommendation

#1

michael.stoklosa asks:

Would you advise stacking Power Drive and Surge pre workout shakes 30 mins and 15 mins prior to a workout? The Surge has done amazing things for my stamina and recovery during my high density style workouts but I’m curious if an increase in strength due to a Power Drive shake would be acceptable for my body. Would you recommend using both pre workout shakes at the same time or should i cycle them individually? Please share any knowledge you have on this subject and thank you for your time!

Michael,

<a href="http://www.t-nation.com/store/products/power-drive"target=“new”>Power Drive is best used 30-60 minutes prior to training, preferably on an “empty” stomach. (Empty meaning not directly on top of a meal; the stomach is seldom truly empty except after waking.)

We assume you mean Surge Workout Fuel since it’s a peri-workout supplement – used before, during, and after, not just post like Surge Recovery. If so, Surge Workout Fuel should be used about 15 minutes prior to training or competition to hydrate and pre-load buffering substrates.

So, you could definitely use Power Drive 30-60 minutes before training, then Surge Workout Fuel just before and during training. Power Drive will be full absorbed and “active” throughout the workout, and won’t interfere with Surge, or vice-versa.

By the way, if you like Surge Workout Fuel, be sure to look into our more advanced workout nutrition formula, <a href="http://www.t-nation.com/store/products/plazma"target=“new”>Plazma. We think you’ll like the effects even more.
