#5

good work! you will get used to the shakes. i had trouble getting them all down in my first few days as well.

#6

day 4 3-8-12
nepa walk 45 mins would have done more but my knee is buggin’ too much:( may throw on my suit and do a few laps
shakes so far aren’t too bad I do feel a bit more tired than normal though.

#7

3/8/12
I forced myself to go back outside and walk another 2 miles, it took me a bit longer, 33 mins and now it’s time to soak in the bubble bath with my 4th shake and my motrin 800:)

Day 5 3/9/12
this morning I did 45 mins of walking on tread mill at 3.8 mph and 4.0 incline
after work my workout was

DB incline bench neutral grip 22.5x9 4times then 22.5x5
lat pull down wide grip 70x10 70x9 3times 70x5
planks 3 times 45 secs each
rest times are 45 secs no problems.
then I did another 20 mins of walking at 4.0 mph with incline of 2

I am working tomorrow (Sat) so I think since I’m getting up early anyway I might as well get the v-challenge in first thing in the morning… I may have my HSM tomorrow too, although I haven’t craved food at all.

#9

3/10/12 day 6
I weighed this morning 161.

#10

nepa walk was a bit slow paced today, but combined with carrying a 10 foot ladder around and going up and down for 6 hours, i think it balances out. My left ankle is swollen and painful, ice on it and elevated now, hope it feels better by tomorrow.
first HSM today was grilled salmon and grilled veggies… neither of which were very good, but the company was.
will do my V-challenge tomorrow.

#11

V-challenge done. first time to do pike push ups, I don’t think I like them, yet. Ankle is still swollen but whatever.
I don’t like the banana flavor shakes!!! I’m glad I only got one bottle of it.

and yes I weighed again this morning and I am down to 160.5 which is a 5.5 pound loss in one week:) I will not weigh again till next weekend, because I know how my weight can fluctuate and I don’t want to get discouraged if I gain a pound over night or something.

I sort of messed up today, I was gone all day and only drank 2 of my shakes, I know that is not enough calories for the day:( I put a whole bottle of it in my trunk now, so I won’t do that again.

#12

3/12/12 Monday Day 8
DB squat 55x10 55x11, 60x10 60x9
DB bench press 25x10 two times 25x8 two times
bent over row (bar) 50x11 60x8 60x9 60x7 60x7
planks 1 at 45 sec 2 at 30

I will do the walking or swimming after work tonight.

#13

3/13/12 day 9
fasted nepa walk 45 mins 3.9mph incline of 2
quite honestly I feel like crap, I’ve got some Zicam and am praying that this “cold” or whatever, just goes away. either way I will not be deterred…the diet and exercise will continue, as scheduled.

#14

5.5 lbs is awesome! great job so far. keep it up

#15

day 10 3/14/12

I’m still feeling icky so my walk was slower and I drank some pedialyte to try and balance things out.

thank you:) it is nice to be over the plateau I was stuck at for a couple of months!!

#17

3/15/12 day 11
feel like crap still, but I’m still sticking to it. 30 min Neap walk 3.8 mph 1.5 incline
still hate banana, can’t wait till this can is empty.

I must look as bad as I feel, I get sent home from work for looking and sounding like shit.
I gave into one of my biggest weaknesses, diet soda…oddly I think it’s making me feel better

Great job! Keep it up! I’m with you on the banana flavored shakes. It’s only chocolate for me from now on.

You probably have it all dialed in by now, but as far as making sure I have all of the shakes, I prepare them all in the morning. I have 6 blender bottles, and I fill as many as I need for the day. Then I only have to go through the hassle of carting them around. I think it is easier than carrying around MD, Superfood, and flax… and in my case I would have to carry Surge with me too.

Actually on my current job site, I have a trailer, so I bought a little blender that I use at work, and I have a fridge, so I have ice and cold water… this is in fact a rarity for me, I normally use the front seat of my vehicle as my office and the back seat as my filing cabinet…but I mix up all of my shake powder in proper proportions each night and put them in little Tupperware containers with numbers and surge written on them. I also put 1/2 a container of dry shake mix in the trunk with a mixer bottle for the eventuality that I won’t be home in time to have a shake… that happened last weekend and I ended up with only 2 shakes for the entire day:( Also I read on someone’s page to freeze your almond butter, hahahaha I did that and then like an idiot I liked the back side of the damn spoon and my tongue got stuck, and now it hurts. I am back to putting into my last shake I like it with the chocolate kind anyway.

day 12 3/16/12 feeling a little better, I’m off to the gym. I don’t know how people have the time to break their workouts into 2 times a day! I realized I’m drinking as much water as I should be, so today is dedicated to remedying that! Tomorrow I am working an event all day, I do have my HSM tomorrow, but I don’t think that will be what is available, so now I’m gonna have to figure it out, and not be tempted by the crappy foods that I am tasked with helping to set up tomorrow; At least in the evening I will be working the door, so it will be easier!!!

sumo stance dead lift 70x10 70x9 70x10 70x7 70x5
incline db press 22.5x10 22.5x9 22.5x9 22.5x10 22.5 x7
lat pulldown 70x10 70x8 70x8 70x8 70x5
planks 3x 30 secs ea
rest 45 secs between all sets

30 mins nepa walk

I’m not hungry, but I sure would love a glass or two of wine tonight!!!
