Pancake Recipes


I’ve been looking around at these pancake recipes, and while they look delicious they sure do look calorie dense, close to 1000 kcal per batch…

My favorite so far that tastes great and is not too calorie dense is very simple:

1/2 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup egg white
Dash of Splenda

Put in blender then throw it in the pan… I usually just make one large one and cut it in four. I usually top with some Omega 3 butter (very little) and a little sugar free syrup.

All in all comes to just under 400 kcal, which seems much more doable on a diet.

Anyways, I am sure this is a popular recipe but just wanted to share with the group.


Oh ya, and have a small glass of unsweetened almond milk with it… really good!


I got some that I think people will like.

I call them pumpkin protein pancakes, They are flour-less, low in carbs, high in protein, and damn tasty.

Ingredients…(for 2 good size pancakes or 3 small)

2 egg whites
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
scoop of protein powder of choice
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tbsp Stevia or other non-calorie sweetener (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
tab of peanut butter or other creamy nut paste of your liking (optional)
2 teaspoon of baking coco
Cinnamon (optional, but highly recommended!)

Other ingredients that make it good…

  • sugar free pudding mix (i like butterscotch)


That looks solid.

Protein powder, at least the Metabolic Drive that I use, makes a really good flour substitute in pancakes and muffins.
