Nut Butter Options

How to make nut butter:

1)Get a good food processor.
2)Put on the super sharp mixing, pulverizing blade.
3)Dump in various nuts.
4)Turn on for 5-20 minutes.

Other tips:
Blanched nuts process faster than unblanched.
Roasted nuts process faster than raw.
Walnuts are very oily so they get done pretty quickly.
Raw almonds take the longest (20 minutes for 1 lb).

Mix and match as desired. I like pecans and walnuts with a smidge of macadamias.

Adding 1 square of 100% chocolate or a TBS of cocoa or two can make it chocolatey.

Dried coconut can be used to make coconut butter.

I feel the other tips should be a must, always use blanched, and always roast

Add in some salt now and then is good too.

Great idea on the chocolate add, never thought about it. Good call.

i’ve done this for a while now and absolutely love it. almonds/brazil/cashews in equal quantities is a winner. mixing in some spices (nutmeg, cardamom, cinnamon) adds heaps to the flavour too

and remember to store them in the fridge

My favourite: Mix some honey with 2-3 Tablespoons of hot water, until it turns out quite liquid and mix it in. This, together with a good amount of salt --> Heaven!
