My meal breakdown has 2 different calorie counts, one for workout and one for non workout. Then the meal break breakdown does not account for this difference - giving me 5 meals and one recovery drink. Do I add a meal? Subtract a meal? On workout days?

All you have to do is follow the plan. The are slight variations in calories based on small difference in shake flavors. Just drink the number of shakes listed and have Surge only on training days. The calorie counts are just estimates.
