Most Important Supps?

#1

Gentlemen,

I’ve been poor as shit for some time, which recently changed. I now have enough income to eat consistently and train hard, and would like to step up my game when it comes to supplements.

Relevant background: Male, 26YO, 6’1", 165#, lifting ~3 years. Not too strong ATM due to aforementioned poverty.

Training goals: get bigger (180#+), get stronger (275FS/350DL/250B)

Current supplements: Whey, creatine, fish oil.

So I have ~$100/mo. budgeted for supplementation, and I’d like opinions on which I should prioritize in a 1-2-3 hierarchy in addition to my current ones. Workout supplementation is where I need the most help, as my previous strategy was using chocolate milk (I know, I know. It was cheap though.)

So where would y’all invest your $100 for supplements? All input appreciated.

The most important step is to first take care of workout nutrition. The best “budget” supplement for that is <a href="http://www.t-nation.com/store/products/surge-workout-fuel"target=“new”>Surge Workout Fuel. Or you can use <a href="http://www.t-nation.com/store/products/plazma"target=“new”>Plazma, one serving before training, one serving during or “intra.”

Stick with workout nutrition as your foundation. Everything else is really secondary unless there’s a specific issue that needs taken care of, like poor sleep (use Z-12) or missed meals (use Metabolic Drive) or total inability to handle carbs and partition nutrients (use Indigo-3G).

What’s the rationale behind a serving of Plazma after training?

Sorry, that was a typo. I mean “intra” not post. (I’ll correct the original answer to avoid confusion.)
