Morning Lethargy?!

#1

Howdy,

Wondering if anyone has clues / solutions …

Not sure if it is Spike or Brain Candy… Or whether I’m run down - but when I’m awake I’m “Tigger” but in the morning it’s like I’m unable to get up.

Turn over and sleep more & more…

Any help appreciated: never used to be like this before !

Those supplements, and most mentally or physically enhancing supplements, are out of your system in 6-8 hours tops. So as long as you don’t use them too late or combine several stimulants (coffee and energy drink etc.) it should be fine. Of course, you can overdo stimulants and sometimes it’s good to back down and use them only as needed, not multiple types every day.

It sounds like you’re getting to sleep fine, but are just having trouble getting up. Are you sleeping enough? Have you paid back any sleep debt you’ve accumulated? Obviously, 5-6 hours a night is going to catch up with you, and it takes several days of 8-9 to pay back that debt. <a href="http://www.t-nation.com/store/products/z-12"target=“new”>Z-12, <a href="http://www.t-nation.com/store/products/elitepro-minerals"target=“new”>Elitepro Minerals, or <a href="http://www.t-nation.com/store/products/zma"target=“new”>ZMA may help. Go for Z-12 first since it’s a dedicated sleep aid and allows for deeper, more replenishing sleep cycles.

Also, make sure your bedroom is as dark as possible with no light from electronic sources.

Finally, could you be overtraining or overreaching?

Ye… I’d be lucky to sleep 6 hours; but that is “usual”; my job is pretty full on. I’ve always been “Tigger” to my work colleagues, as I’m full of beans & with Brain Candy: more sociable.

And em… ye I do combine 2 Spike tablets with a triple shot latte an hour later… morning ritual (Caffeine-Free Brain Candy)

WIll be placing an order soon, so definately will try Z-12; but the lights gone on - that maybe it’s my caffeine intake over the day (longer days so more being drank)…

Sounds like that could be the root cause; I dare not ask CT does his Layers cause me to overtrain… haha.

(edit for manners) Thanks Chris.
