Indigo for Fat loss/Contest Prep

#1

Would Indigo be recommended for my first natural Physique contest prep? I’m 8 weeks out, 5’8", 172lbs down from 180, 8 weeks ago, about 10% bf down from 16%bf. I’m happy with my conditioning but feel I have a lost a little size…I know this is expected. I would like to tighten things up the last 8 weeks and afraid of losing more size. I’m averaging 2500 calories/day, min 200g Protein/day, I cycle carbs, 100 on low days, 150-200 on normal days, and 2 days over 250grams.

I do 5 to 6 weight training days, 3 days HIIT for 15 min, 2 days 20 min walking. Will Indigo help me although most of my days are 200 carbs or less? I also just added Creatine back to my diet, and just bought some HOT-ROX to tighten up on the fat loss. I thought about adding calories back to my diet but was suggested to not.

You bet. <a href="http://www.t-nation.com/store/products/indigo-3g"target=“new”>Indigo-3G is great for those getting into contest shape. All of our sponsored bodybuilders (like Mark Dugdale and Amit Sapir) are using Indigo for contest prep.

While you may not be getting tons of carbs, Indigo-3G will insure those carbs go “to the right place.” Plus, it has fat loss effects. What you may find is that with Indigo-3G you don’t have to drop carbs as low as you would otherwise, which will keep your workouts productive and your energy and mood up. So a low day may be 50g more carbs than before. You’ll have play with it and find your sweet spot with carb intake, but this sweet spot will very likely be higher than it was before with the same fat loss effects and better muscle retention.

Keep us posted!

Thanks. I just ordered 2 bottles. 2 questions. Would it be ok to stack it with HOT-ROX for some extra fat burning, or would you put off HOT-ROX for maybe the last 4 weeks to my competition?
Also, If I have 1 day of very low carbs(100 or below), should I skip Indigo-3G on this day?

Many Indigo-3G users find that they don’t need a dedicated fat burner when using it. However, physique competitions are a different animal, requiring you to pull out all the big guns. As a general rule for shows, use <a href="http://www.t-nation.com/store/products/hot-rox-extreme"target=“new”>HOT-ROX in the last month or so. So yes, good idea. HOT-ROX also contains Carbolin-19 which will help you further with muscle preservation. (If you haven’t read a lot about the active ingredient in it, check this out: http://www.t-nation.com/supplements/burn-fat-pile-on-muscle-with-forskolin)

Use Indigo-3G on your low carbs days too, just one dose before you take in the majority of the carbs (which may be workout time.)
