Here is a little run down about myself. I have been overweight and obese my entire life. I even remember shopping for “husky” size clothing as a very young child. I have attempted losing weight with varying success several times and always seem to yo yo back up to or past were I was. Will power and a life long bad habit of using food as a reward have always plagued my attempts to lose weight and get healthy. Over the last few years I have been actively educating myself on proper eating and digging through all the propaganda broadcast to us by the FDA and major food manufacturers. About a month ago my father had a quadruple bypass at the age of 56 and while spending time with him in the hospital I learned a bit about my family history that I didn’t know. Long story short along with my weight my genetics have made me a shoe in for cardiovascular disease and diabetes. This knowledge is fueling a new found dedication to eating properly and getting in shape.
Over the last two weeks I have been following the 100 gram cure and doing the V diet lite (two shakes a day). I have been following the beginner workout program in preparation for the diet so I can hit it hard when the diet starts. I have eliminated dairy and almost completely eliminated wheat and sugar over the last few weeks. I have never found it this easy to make a change before and feel that I am ready, prepared, and have the fire to complete the V-Diet.
Well, I’m rambling so I’ll wrap this up. Tomorrow my fiancee and I start the V diet and I’ll post all my stats after taking measurements in the morning.
