Greek Yogurt Ideas

#1

I just discovered this delicious treat and found out how many things you can make with it. Just wanted to see if Chris or anybody else has any great recipes to make with it. I heard you can use it in pancakes…could be good

I use it as a topping for this:

I always mix blueberries and some stevia n cinnamon with a big tub of greek yogurt, or else maybe some almond butter and a scoop of chocolate or vanilla protein in it.

Do you guys think that greek yogurt can be used as a diet staple…I have recently been putting it on top of my daily stir chicken beef vegie mix to sort of pose as sour cream and it does a damn good job. I wonder though since its origins are of a dariy nature, the one I buy says its made from non fat skim milk, would there be any chance of the nasty bloating sides that come with reg milk?

I would like to like to keep using it but not if I think it would enable fat gain or bloat

I use it pretty regularly with protein powder and peanut butter at night (I throw in some apple as I’m not too worried about those extra carbs).

Also, mix it with a little garlic, cumin, and some (a lot of) sriracha for a delicious dip or topping for chicken or w/e protein you’d like. I’m sure it could be improved with some tweaking of the spices, but I haven’t had much occasion to play with that.

I don’t have the dairy issues I’d normally have with milk, for example. I think that’s the case with most people when comparing milk vs. yogurt. I throw it in with shakes too. Makes it a bit thick so I have to water it down. I got some almond milk to use instead, so I’ll have to see if that improves the consistency.

I like mixing tsp of coconut oil and splenda and freezing it. coconut oil gets nice and crunchy.
sometimes I add PB too

#7

I use it in dishes in place of mayo

Walnut oil, slivered almonds, cinnamon, blueberries, stevia. Did I mention walnut oil, stuff is amazing on all kinds of stuff. I particularly like La Nogalera walnut oil, great with salads and very nice compliment with meats as well as acidic foods like tomatoes, tomato sauces.

Got a decent one I worked on…

1 cup greek yogurt
2 heaping tbsp of slivered almonds
2 tbsp of walnut oil
1 tbsp of honey
1 tsp leucine
3/4 scoop of protein powder (I used an off site brand vanilla casein)

whip it together with a fork, it becomes sort of close to cream cheese texture.
Hits the stomach and stays there for a bi

Plain Organic Greek Yogurt
1 Box Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding Mix
Organic Milk
1 Can Pumpkin
1/4C Natural Chunky Peanut Butter
Stevia and Cinnamon to taste

Great as a dessert or mid afternoon snack

I make it at home and have it indian-style - cumin, salt, cayenne, and maybe cucumbers or rice if I want more calories.

#12

I just made it with a scoop of chocolate protein powder, banana and walnuts and put it in the freezer for 20 minutes

I’ve been mixing a cup of Plain Greek Yogurt with 1/2 cup pumpkin and a scoop or two of vanilla whey. It tastes great and is fast!
