Gator's V-Diet Log

Ordered the stuff from Biotest over the weekend. Price wasn’t too bad with the $120 off orders over $500.

Excited to get started on March 9th. Spent this morning calendaring all of my meals and workouts. I work anywhere from 50-70 hours a week, so this will be a big commitment and challenge.

I will be a week ahead of you!

Nothing like seeing those photos to make you realize you look like hell. Day 1 is tomorrow, ready to get started.

You will do great…grit out the first week (I will be on day 7 tomorrow) it gets easier at times, but having completed this before I found the first week the toughest…then your body settles down and it is more mental battles!

the nausea, insomnia, mental fog and all the other wonderful things that come along with it are as advertised…but the results…WOW…

last time I lost 27 pounds and went from noticeably fat…to (almost) visible abs.

get it done, I am a week ahead, but we can both share our success in the end!

Day 1 is almost in the books. Just the before bed shake left. Was able to get in a one hour walk today. Haven’t been too hungry, but I’ve had a splitting headache for the last two hours. Drank a cup of coffee and took some aspirin but to no avail. Just going to take things one day and a time until 28 days are in the books.

Day 2 was much better than day 1. Managed to get in 1 hour NEPA in the morning and first workout after work. Pretty sore today, but it felt good to get back in the gym. Missed the NEPA this morning, so I will have to make it up tonight.

good luck with the diet. If you stick to it 100% im predicting you lose 20+lbs in the 28 days.

Day three went mostly smoothly. The shakes have become easier to consume. Smelling the dinner my wife cooked herself was really the first time I struggled with not having had a solid meal. Managed 45 minutes of NEPA yesterday. Already had the first shake of day 4 and was able to squeeze a 45 minute walk in before I started work. Still pretty sore from Monday’s workout, but I will be sure to get today’s workout in after work.

Day four is in the books. Modified workout last night because of the lingering soreness from the first workout. This is what happens when you haven’t been to a gym in 9 months and go too hard the first day back. Also, I seem to be coming down with a head cold. Could just be allergies, so I am taking Zyrtec and supplementing with plenty of vitamin C. Hopefully the congestion will subside. 30 minute walk this morning, will do the other 30 minutes tonight. Starting to look forward to my HSM on Saturday.

Hard to believe five days have past already. One benefit of having a busy work schedule is that time seems to pass quickly. It will be interesting to see how difficult the first weekend of the diet is though. Looking forward to a steak dinner tomorrow night. The shakes with flax are becoming more and more difficult to drink, I just do not like having the flax in the shakes. Overall, I think being restricted to the shakes only has been easier than I expected.

Took the dog for a 30 minute walk this morning. Will get another 30 minutes in tonight before tonight’s workout.

Day six and seven were on track and on target. Consumed my shakes and did my workouts. Had my first healthy solid meal last night, steak, oven-roasted brussels sprouts, and some baked potato. Was surprised to see the weight go down the morning after that meal.

One week in and everything feels like it is on target. I have been battling a good deal of congestion since I started the diet. If it persists through the next week or so, I would have to guess I am slightly allergic to something in the shakes. Maybe the milk protein?

good job so far. often your weight will drop the day after the HSM. it has to do with how your body retains water. keep it up!

Slow and steady on the weight loss. Started the day off with 50 minutes of walking. Workout scheduled for tonight.

Soon I’ll be down in the 220’s for the first time in probably 2 years. Stayed to course yesterday. Left work late but still managed to convince myself to go to the gym and get Monday’s workout in.

Half hour of walking to start the day today. Bring on day ten.

I’m losing an average of half of a pound a day, and today form followed function. Down a pound yesterday, so no weight loss today. I know the true story is the tale of the tape, and visually I can already see some inches lost in a couple of areas. 45 minutes of walking this morning before work. I’ll walk for another 15 minutes before I lift tonight.

Still no cheating and the end of week 2 is in sight. For once I am glad that I have a job that keeps me really busy because the time on this diet seems to be passing pretty quickly. I am starting to dread the flax shakes a little though.

Missed my workout yesterday. Work went late and I wanted to spend a little time filling out a couple of brackets for the tournament. Only working a half day today, so I will make up the workout this afternoon. Still sticking to the plan.

Congestion and mucus are still a constant. Did a little research and it seems that some people react that way to protein powders. I will push through to the end, but will be very happy when this congestion subsides.

Nice to be down in the 220’s.

Stayed the course on the diet. My bracket is shot though.
