Daily NEPA. Heart Rate?

#1

Chris,

I’ve been doing my NEPA indoors on treadmill at 4.0mph.
I’ve been working up from 30 min week 1 and adding 10 min each week
Should we be monitoring heart rate? Mine has been around 125-133bpm after 10 min or so

I don’t want to turn it into a “cardio” session. So curious on your thoughts of where to maintain heart rate

Thanks

There is no need to monitor heart rate. It’s a slightly faster than normal walk. No need to complicate things.

Cool. Thanks Chris.

Sorry for the short response above, I was between flights and rushed. To add to this, I’ve always liked the guideline of “Breathing is a little faster than normal, but you should be able to carry on a conversation.” That’s the sweet spot.
