Cycling the V-Diet?

Hey, I was wondering if you needed to get off the V-Diet every 28days or is it ok to make it last 6weeks or turn it into a lifestyle diet where you go 2-3 shakes and stay predominantly low carb and eat around 2,500 instead of 1,500 calories.

So I guess that completely changes the diet, but I guess my question is I am about 220 now and expecting to lose about 20-30lbs from nov 1st-dec1st and would eventually like to get to 175sh which will put me in the ball park of 12% BF which is where I want to be right now. Anyways, any helps, hints, comments appreciated. Thanks.
