Curcumin Dose, w/ Other Supps

Due to the numerous positive reviews here, I’ve started taking Curcumin. Aside from helping with training injuries, it really does help with normal age-related aches and pains, and I’ve cut back substantially on the amount of Advil I take. The only thing it doesn’t seem to help with is headaches.

I do have a few questions though:

  • The instructions say to take 2 tablets/day if you’re taking it for general health purposes. Should this be 1 tablet twice a day, or 2 tablets once a day?

  • As Curcumin is a COX-2 inhibitor, is it okay to take it with ibuprofen or acetaminophen?

  • Due to the piperine content (which I believe enhances bioavailability), should it be separated from other Biotest supps (Carbolin 19, Indigo 3G, etc.) or prescription medications by a certain amount of time?

Thanks for your help.

  1. Divided dosages is probably best for <a href=""target=“new”>Curcumin.

  2. Better ask a doc that question. We cannot advise about other drugs.

  3. No.
