Best Supplement for Games

#1

Hey Chris,

Just wondering what would be the best protocol to take before/during games? I use Plazma and MAG-10 for workouts, but would something like SWF be better for a sporting event and maybe some MAG-10 after to recover?

I play competitive beach volleyball, so for tournaments we are playing 4+ matches in a day. Also play basketball here and there, but guessing would be same type of supplement for both. Thanks

<a href="http://www.t-nation.com/store/products/plazma"target=“new”>Plazma and <a href="http://www.t-nation.com/store/products/mag-10"target=“new”>Mag-10 certainly work perfectly for sports and competitions. We’ve had everyone from marathoners to powerlifters to NFL athletes (mini-camps and games) use them, much the same way you’d use them for training. That said, <a href="http://www.t-nation.com/store/products/surge-workout-fuel"target=“new”>Surge Workout Fuel is being greatly upgraded and with its hydration components, I think it would be perfect for you.

It’ll be released June 30th.

Thanks Chris, I actually saw the new SWF announcement after I posted. I’ve found that MAG-10 is great for recovery between matches and preventing me from getting sore, but doesn’t do much in the way of hydration or helping optimal performance during the match itself. Definitely going to give the new SWF a try when it comes out and see how I feel

On a side note my next tournament is June 28th, just missed by a couple days! Oh well haha

I absolutely love Surge Workout Fuel for hockey games. I play anything from one-hour league games, to two-hour pickup sessions, to 4-hour marathons on Fridays.

I’ve experimented with Plazma, but I keep coming back to a combination of Surge Workout Fuel and MAG-10, with Finibars thrown in for good measure on the truly insane days. I like to reserve my Plazma for my lifting workouts.

I’m excited to try the new version of Surge Workout Fuel.
