Just a little clarity on the number of sets and reps.
For Advanced Friday work out I did everything 5 sets of 5 reps for 25 reps; is that correct.
Or is the goal at some point to hit 25 reps in the least amount of sets?
Also is ok to start adding weight with a dip belt for the Chin ups and pull ups?
You didn’t go heavy enough.
Your first set, the one that determines the load used for all sets, should have been a 4-5 rep max. Then, you should have taken as many sets as needed, with only 30 seconds between each, to reach 25 total reps for that exercise.
Now, if you had chosen the right load and used the right rest periods, you could not have gotten 5 x 5. It would have looked something like this:
Set #1: 5 reps
Set #2: 4 reps
Set #3: 4 reps
Set #4: 3 reps
Set #5: 3 reps
Set #6: 2 reps
Set #7: 2 reps
Set #8: 1 rep
Set #9: 1 rep
Total = 25 reps
And yes, add load to pull-ups as needed to hit RMs on first set.
