Not Really a Log. . .Just a Message
I have only been doing this since Saturday, March 16th. I kind of “pre-started” on Thursday using the remnants of a protein powder I had, understanding that it wasn’t the “V-Diet” until I collected all of the supplements.
On that Saturday, a friend of mine gave me their bottle of HOT-ROX and I began, using my Metabolic Drive, supplementing with a DHA/EPA/CLA supplement that isn’t Flameout (I’m working on getting that as well, but I feel that if I have limited funds, the most important thing to invest in is the Metabolic Drive.)
You may find this hard to believe, but on Saturday, I weighed 139.9 pounds.
Today, five days in, I’ve lost 11 pounds. I haven’t been UNDER 130 in so long. . .even when I was in fighting shape. I am SO THRILLED.
I understand that a large percentage of what I’ve taken off has to be water weight. As a woman, I carry water like mad. But even with diuretics, I’ve never been able to get down like this.
I’m only 5 days in and my delts are starting to show again, there’s a faint line of separation between my triceps and biceps, and I can see the line down the middle of my abdomen until about an inch above my belly button. I know that, due to the water, the weight loss will probably slow down considerably, but DAMN! What a way to start!!!
My workouts are exactly as the V-Diet protocol outlined. . .although it’s tough because I feel so energized during my workouts that I want to do more. I’m shaking like a leaf when I’m done, but mentally, I’m like “MORE! MORE! MORE!”
So, despite not having all of the supplements for this first week, I’m very happy with the results. My NEPA (is that right?) is fairly easy to get in. I quit a 13 year career as a desk-jokey litigation paralegal last May and spend four days a week walking dogs and three days a week working on a horse farm.
I am getting a LOT of sleep - uninterrupted, healthy sleep. I do awake feeling a little weak, but as soon as I down my first shake, I’m ready to rock and roll.
My brother is coming into town on Saturday and wants to take me to lunch. I’ve picked a restaurant that is known for plates of lean meats, salads and I’ll be tossing an apple into my bag for dessert.
I have not “logged,” nor have I measured due to the fact that I’m in the minority of people who don’t really get inspired by the minutiae of things. When I start logs, I tend to obsess over every little thing and the slightest lack of change in a number can bring the whole thing crumbling down.
I’m feeling better, looking better and get more inspired every day. I’ve been pouring over the forums, reading about V-Diet successes, difficulties and some REALLY good questions (with informative answers from Chris and other members of the forums).
So, really, I just wanted to say thanks - thanks to those who researched and created this diet and to those who have used it with such amazing success.
I can’t wait to see what the following weeks bring.
